Experiment with PowerPoint 1.0 in mini vmac

Post by yksoft1 »

Someone gave me a copy of the first and non-Microsoft-branded PowerPoint.
I used it to make a simple presentation about Claris' history.

I uploaded the PowerPoint 1.0 file(stuffed, unopenable on powerpoint version higher than 3.0) and the converted PDF file(used PrinttoPDF on Basilisk II).

Is Steve quantum tunneling to an alternate multiverse so he can kill his alternate self to eventually become The One (2:12)?

Great!

I had a little mess about in an old version of PowerPoint last year. I think it was 2 or 3.

I thought I can give you a trial "Working Model" version of PowerPoint 2.0 for Windows from 1990 or sometime.
Include a demo version (crippled, can't run everything other than the PPT2.0 demo) of windows 3.0 (286 mode only).

(this site is extremely slow).
extract the files to 2 floppydisks.
and install it on a DOS PC with 16MB RAM or less, 1MB or more (the requirement of Windows 3.0 demo version in this demo).

When you reply, you see at the top of the reply form the buttons for entering the BBCode that is used. The image files themselves need to be posted somewhere else on the web, so they can be linked to. In the lower left corner of the reply form is a link "BBCode", that directs you to the manual for using BBCode in the forum

I meant how do you get images into an old mac. It doesn't have internet and I don't think it would read JPEG (maybe BMP) and to get the images into the emulator (I guess you could use HFV Explorer and add it to an image)

Photoshop 1.0 and 2.0 will run in Mini vMac (Plus, SE or PB100) and they at least knows how to deal with TIFF.

I do not think Adobe will ever release anything they produced as abandonware at all.
However there are some shareware image convertors(some older versions of GraphicConverter and GIFConvertor) that run on 68000 systems and accept JPEGs and even PNGs.
