Rom question

Post by FuzzyElmo »

What ROM's actually WORK with Sheepshaver? I tried an old ROM I had lying around (Message: "Unsupported ROM"), and the Mac OS ROM update one (Message: "Invalid ROM file size,") but they don't work. What works?

The MAC OS Rom update 1.0 (containing mac os rom 1.6) works.
What matters is the way you extract this file.

Copying from a cd or hd image with hfv explorer can be tricky because of the conversion hfv explorer does. You can try several different options to copy it.

The size of the file should be 1.85 MB, or 1.901 kb or 1.945.746 bytes

Best wishes

When your copying the rom from HFV Explorer to your hard drive, just choose "Raw Copy, Data Fork" and it should copy it without compressing it or changing it

*smacks head* It never occured to me that the transfer of the file would be the problem. Thanks!
