Let me know if at some point in the future the previous forum build of SheepShaver can be de-stickied in favor of this build.

Not now and maybe not for some time. So far, the July 21 2008 build is the only complete recent build available, Universal Binary, both "S" and "H" versions and for Tiger and Leopard. I am not sure it is possible to build again complete versions from the present state in CVS. The latest changes in CVS did not make it easier, possibly even impossible.

So Universal Builds are a thing of the past? Shame because I think there is a performance boost by launching it through Rossetta on an intel mac. At least it sure seemed that way with the old build and I really would like to try it. Before Oregon Trail II was running smoothly but in this latest intel build it is rather slower though other games are running smoother and I can't figure it out.

Why do you say that? No one suggested that eventually there will not be another Universal Binary. It is just that Cat_7 did not succeed (yet) in building a UB and I was not sure I would succeed after the recent multiple changes in CVS. If it would have proved to be not possible, corrections should have been made in CVS.

However, at the moment I have here a brand new UB that I will post for testing shortly.

FULLSCREEN SOLUTION

Used Chubby Bunny on a Macbook Pro 2010, intel i5, 15 inch supported with El Capitan (10.11). Everything runs smoothly, in fact smoother than on my Macbook 2007. There are two ways to solve the fullscreen problem.

1) If you are using Lion,
-download Maximizer by chpwn
-(must install SIMBL) .
This method is easy and creates fullscreen arrows in the right corner of the gray head bar.

2) If you are using any Mac OS,
-Open COIV4.0.1 folder (or whatever folder contains Chubby Bunny)
-Use ctrl & click on folder labeled Classic, click show package contents
-Use ctrl & click on folder labeled COI, click show package contents
-Open text file hih1 (may need Text Wrangler)
-Change line that says:
screen win/1024/768
change this to the width and height you prefer
I changed mine to:
screen win/1480/1000
-Quit text edit.

This should solve your problem, and change the dimensions indefinitely.

This is a very old thread. Unlike COI Chubby Bunny, regular SheepShaver builds have the option of running full-screen built in since 2009 (the subject of this thread). Since 2014 SheepShaver even has the possibility of toggling between window mode and full-screen while it is running.

BTW 1. We do not support COI Chubby Bunny, posts about COI are better posted in the "Other SheepShaver configurations" sub-forum.

This thread is nine years old!
Look for Windows builds in the topic about Windows builds. The full screen feature is in there already for many years also.
