You should not set up the cups-pdf printer on the Classic side. You set it up as printer on the OSX side, and make that printer shared. On the MacOS side you use Desktop Printer Utility to create a LPR printer to print to that shared printer. You print to it exactly as you do with your other printer setup, but this printer will create a PDF instead.

Hi

Maybe you are mixing up to different options:
1. Install PrintToPDF in Mac OS 9.
In this case you can select the PrintToPDF printer in the chooser and use it to create a PDF file. That PDF can be saved on the OSX side when you print to a folder that is available through the Unix disk. You then need to open the PDF in OSX and print it.

2. Install Cups2PDF in OSX
In this case you install a driver in OSX that provides a new printer in OSX. You then need to share that new printer in OSX and, in Mac OS 9 use the Desktop Printer Utility to make a desktop printer that points to the printer in OSX. (This requires networking setup correctly in Mac OS 9). However, it seems the current Cups2PDF software isn't supported in 32 bit Leopard. If the instructions from the page you visited can't help you, then perhaps you should let this option pass you by. If you still want to try to create the required software, then use the links I pointed to for the source code of the older versions that should work in Leopard.

Best,

quest on SheepShaver Window.
If we go into full screen, and want to go back to the OS X side, is there a hotkey to get back?
usually ESC works to get out of a virtual terminal but not sure what works for SheepShaver.
