I was dismayed to be told by my boss that his software -that he's always been able to drag & drop from previous OS9 machines- won't transfer to SheepShaver. It loses it's icon and recognition as an application. I tried rebuilding the desktop using trash•desktop, but no success.

I could sure use some help & input .

EDIT: We had been using a USB thumb drive to transfer everything (the MDD tower can't see its own combo drive in 9, so I couldn't burn transfer anything via CD), and the thumb volume apparently wasn't formatted properly, which resulted in the files just not transferring properly. I used an external FireWire HD and everything swapped over fine.

Do not use USB thumb drives to transfer from OSX to OS9 without reformatting as HFS+.
OS9 just won't recognize OSX's "._" AppleDouble resource fork format.
Do you have an older Stuffit for OSX that still generate SIT5 .sit archives?
