why all my rom don't work ?

i can't find a romwhich work with sheepshaver 2.2.10 on fedora. the rom of system 8.6 and the one from maconlinux don't work. please help me !

The ROM on the Mac OS 8.6 CD works. I've used it. It takes a while to boot though. Give it at least 15 minutes.

when I try to start sheepshaver, it says "unsupported rom type" or something like that... is it normal ?

You probably extracted it wrong, or used the wrong rom image off the CD.

Have you used the one that is accesible via the apple site?

If you already have Basilisk II running with some old rom, this is your easiest bet:

Download, from this site:

http://www.maconlinux.org/download.html

The 1.6 ROM and the TomeView application, and then use TomeView on the rom file within Basilisk II.

We can't send the ROM (that is illegal).

But if you already have Basilisk II installed, it isn't very hard to do. Are you running Basilisk II already? I'll walk you through it, if you can't figure it out...

The following NewWorld ROMs are known to work:
- MacOS ROM 1.1.2 from MacOS 8.5
- MacOS ROM 1.2.1 from "iMac Update 1.1"
- MacOS ROM 1.4 from MacOS 8.6
- MacOS ROM 1.6 from "MacOS ROM Update 1.0"

Anything newer (even version 1.8.1 from PowerMac G4 ROM Update) as they are new style NewWorld ROMs (parcels base).
