No "Built In" Sound in Output

Post by arrowghost »

Hi everyone,

I'm a newb in installing Sheepshaver, I was doing well with the installation from Youtube guide videos and found that everything went smoothly. Except that sounds have been disabled, I looked around carefully for solutions but found none for this case.

I did follow the instruction to go to the Sound Control, go to Output and select "Built In", but sadly, there's no "Built In" option in there. Here's the proof in the attachment, please help!

Using old world ROM? Remove the Apple Audio Extension in the extensions folder.
If you're using new world ROM and running Mac OS 8.5/8.6, the Sound control panel is installed in the “Apple Extras” folder. You can use it there to select the built-in output device.

Wow, I cannot believe it. Thank you.

Seriously, those Youtube guide videos should have been a lot more thorough & more precise. At least this one works now, thanks for the info.
