I have a Mac Pro laptop that is giving me problems in trying to install SheepShaver. I've had to delete the SheepShaver folder several times and also deleted the .sheep* files in my home folder, but when I put in a newly unzipped SheepShaver folder into my Applications folder, the SheepShaver application only bounces once then dies. Since I have been deleting everything I could find and then starting with a new install, I'm not sure what I might be missing.
Any ideas would be welcome. The console messages are as follows:
2/18/16 4:27:29.577 PM URL Manager Pro[788]: WARNING: The Gestalt selector gestaltSystemVersion is returning 10.9.3 instead of 10.11.3. This is not a bug in Gestalt -- it is a documented limitation. Use NSProcessInfo's operatingSystemVersion property to get correct system version number.

Re: SheepShaver not starting up
Looks like those Console messages are regarding URL Manager Pro, not SheepShaver.
The behaviour is what you'd expect if you didn't have the ROM image in a location that matches the path indicated in the prefs file.
However, it's possible that URL Manager Pro is stomping on SheepShaver's memory footprint -- actually quite likely, considering how they both work.

Thanks. I had forgotten to reinstall the ROM file in the SheepShaver folder. Hopefully I will not make the same mistake on the other 2 machines that I must setup.

And don't forget to rename the rom file to "Mac OS ROM", see setup guide.
