SheepShaver crashes when opening it - macOS Sierra

Post by Jordan882 »

I am on macOS Sierra and I am trying to install SheepShaver. I have the latest recommended version and the New World ROM, which I downloaded from RedundantRobot. I put the ROM file in the SheepShaver folder, and renamed it to Mac OS ROM. When I try to open up SheepShaver, it crashes immediately.

1. Make sure "Mac OS ROM" does not have a file name extension that may be hidden in the Finder. You can check the full file name in Finder Info for the file: Select its icon in the Finder and hit cmd-I to view the Info panel.

2. Make sure that the SheepShaver application is set to open in 32-bit mode. This can also be checked in Finder Info: Select the application icon and hit cmd-I. The related checkbox needs to be checked.

3. Try the solution Cat_7 describes here: http://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewto ... 436#p54436
