Sierra

Sheepshaver has worked brilliantly for me for many years. I recently upgraded my OS to Sierra. I anticipated Sheepshaver not working but it launched okay. However the program I use most Lotus 123 would not always start up. Sometimes fine but most of the time would flash like it was starting for a split second and quit.
Through much experimentation with refresh rates etc. I think I found the problem. It seemed it could be a memory issue. The setting for RAM size from previous was 512. Increasing it above 1024 and Sheep wouldn't launch. Setting it to the bottom of 128 and all seems good.
Why would it need to be reduced when upgrading to Sierra? I have 8GB of RAM on my Mac so how could such a small adjustment make a difference?
