Hi,

First, thank you for any answer! Can any Mac OS 9.0.4 installation CD be used with SheepShaver? I find many CDs for imac, emac G3 and G4 for sale but I have doubts if it would be worth buying one and use it for installation!

Hello,

Simple answer: No. You need a universal installation CD (or disk image of such CD). They have the orange 9 on them.
Perhaps best to check the macintoshgarden for a suitable image.
If you host is OSX, you cannot read real CD's without running as root, which is not recommended anyway.
