Installing 10.4 from CDs

Post by ewiggin1234 »

When I am setting up a new machine in PearPC I am choosing my CD/DVD drive as the second IDE slot as I am planning on installing 10.4 from the 4 CDs I have. After setting the machine up, I click on start and nothing happens. I would appreciate any help on this.

Hi,

Welcome! I could be best to have the hard disk set to the second port and the cd drive to the first for installation. You change it later. Are you using Windows as host?
If nothing happens when you start, there is an error in your config file. Please paste the contents of the file in your reply.
Are you using PearPC 0.5 with the pearpc configuration tool we describe in our guide form here http://www.kxlan.co.uk/Jamie/

Best,
