PearPC.exe Win32 on Linux via Wine? Faster how?

Post by Drathian »

Riddle me this batman? -I'm either not compiling it right or it seems that pearpc runs faster with the windows version via Linux's Windows Compatability Layer (wine 1.4), can't be, secondly how the heck can it even run on this, this be the first emulator that i got running through wine easily?

P.S.

Does anyone have the source for the PearPC 0.5 (not pre) with sound lying around?

I use the Windows version on OS X because it's faster than the native build...
...Windows has solid JIT interpreting, which is lacking/rudimentary in the unix-style builds. If you compile it on Windows without the JIT interpreter, it'll be just as slow as the others.
