PearPC vs SheepShaver

Post by in3D »

What is it that makes PearPC incapable of running Classic Mac OS like SheepShaver?

This has something to do with the way Powerpc machines boot. There is no "bios" available to boot these machines into the classic Mac OS . SheepShaver tricks the Mac OS by making changes in the bios (as contained in the Mac OS Rom file) to believe it is running on real hardware.

Besides, PearPC is that slow that you woudn't want to run classic or OSX on it.
