Error when starting Panther install

Post by tony10997 »

When I start my Panther VM in the VBox GUI the apple logo comes up and the pinwheel at the bottom is spinning but after about a minute or so I get an error symbol on the screen. It isn't a message just a symbol with a /. I am new to using PearPC so this issue is likely due to my incompetence. Where could I find the error log? Is it in the install directory of Vbox GUI?

I presume you're talking about "PearPC VirtualBox Gui" by Jamie Bartlett.

Look for ppc.exe, and the logs will likely be in the same folder.

However, you've probably got other issues. The first thing I'd do is delete your nvram file (also in the same folder), as you're already booting part-way. You can also enable verbose mode in the settings so that you get informative text instead of the grey apple.
