I don't want to revisit Clockwise's suggestion that posters are banned for their spelling mistakes, but I think in general all of us need to be a little more careful with our replies to posts.

There are more and more non-English speakers coming here, so to be fair to them I think we should stop using abbreviations and slang wherever possible. I have noticed a few posts that are essentially "I don't speak English too well, and I have no idea what you are talking about".

I'm not suggesting that we all take remedial English classes or use a grammar guide when writing - just try to avoid anything that will confuse anyone that didn't grow up speaking English.

I would like it if people used 'you' instead of 'u', 'someone' instead of 'sum1' etc.

I would certainly appreciate it if you all use proper english unless you accidently make mistakes or if english is not your native language) in my networking forum as this will save me from having to edit people's post.
