Hello all!

I am on a PowerPC machine running 10.4.11, a Mac mini G4 with 1GB RAM to be precise. I read somewhere that sloppy performance of OS9 games under classic is caused by classic not having exclusive access to the hardware, so even if it sounds absurd, I was wondering.... Is it possible to have Lemmings and other Classic MAC OS games running without that sloppyness under the Classic enviroment? Any settings to speed it up or something? I dissabled ALL extensions, but it was no use...

Any other ideas? Thanks!!

Hi,

If the official classic doesn't run your game to your satisfaction, I don't know if any of the emulators we discus here will be any help.

You might try sheepshaver as it run without emulation on your mac, but with some overhead. I don't know if it will speed up things.

Best wishes,

By the way: I've discovered that Lemmings runs super smoothly in Executor.

That's one thing that Executor does much better than Basilisk and SheepShaver.
