Please note that I do not condone piracy of any kind!

I was actually wondering if anyone has been able to get their hands on the developer preview for OS X 10.7 "Lion" and successfully install it. With the Mac OS evolving more behind-the-scenes, it would be interesting to know exactly what the changes are from Snow Leopard (10.6.x) to Lion. Unfortunately, the best and easiest way to get this OS seems to be through pirating, so I'd much rather see something legit than that. Just one of those "it would be cool if" topics!

Probably more than likely, i'd rather just switch from PC to Mac and have it loaded with Lion already.

I think Lion will be a critical point for Apple, as it will represent the point where user freedom and choice will gradually be replaced by a restrictive iOS-like environment. It's sad, but not really unexpected given Apple's behaviour of late.

Ambassador is exactly right. For me this is kind of a sad direction for Apple to take. Another way of viewing it is that it certainly validates the work this site is about - what better time to revisit old OSes then now?

it's kind of interesting to note that a freeware init that allows one to stretch a window from all corners and sides has been available since system 7

personally I never installed it, but I do find it funny that this UI feature has resurfaced so many years later
