What are your experiences with it?
I suppose that many forum members have been using the IIgs and it´s emulators in the past.
I had a look at Bernie with SheepShaver and thought that it might be easy to use because of the wide variety
of options offered and the Mac type user interface.
I found that Bernie freezes my favourite GNU-Linux/SheepShaver host, Mandriva64 almost immediately.
The freezing also happens quite frequently with Snow Leopard/SheepShaver.
XP32/SheepShaver runs Bernie somehow, but the sound output from the IIgs seems to be at a very wrong pitch,
really disturbing.
Both my iMac OS9.2.2 and my 7100/80 OS9.1 play Bernie´s sounds and those of the IIgs all right.
The "Low Level Disk Support" has to be checked for some disks like the Apple IIgs Tour.

I played a bit with the IIgs emulation and found that GNU/Linux Mandriva 32bit running SheepShaver seems to work best.
All sounds seem to play reasonable and Bernie freezes only occasionally.

I happened to find a copy of DPaint_II, which I had with my Amiga. I never expected to see DPaint again, actually.
Does anybody know what file types are saved by DPII with the Apple_II?

Obviously there is also the Mac OS X version of Sweet16, developed by Eric Shepherd, based on Bernie ][ The Rescue.
Sweet16 can mount HFS formatted DMG images for swapping files.
