No color when I run full screen

Post by Mattsopg »

I just set up Basilisk II with a Mac Quadra 900 ROM. I used the 7.5.3 OS and the 7.5.5 Update. Everything works fine, except that when I select DirectX [ full screen ], the system runs in blackj and white. When I run in a window, everything is color. (I have colors set to 256 color palette). I would really like to run full screen in color, because the only way I can get Escape Velocity to run is in full screen mode. If I try to run EV when it's in a window, I get the Monitor Tool ID = -3 error. Any help would be appreciated.

You are going to need to set the colors WITHIN the MacOS. Look for a "monitors" control panel.

What Clockwise said.

BTW, running Basilisk II in a Window using DirectX causes Basilisk II to run at whatever your Windows color setting is at, even if you selected 256 from the BasiliskIIGUI. Switching to WindowsGDI instead would allow you to play games in Windowed-mode at 256 colors.
