Hello,

I think next to Apple making their classic OS available, Basilisk II is the best thing ever!
,
My issue is mainly about being able to have full access to the host OS (MacOSX Lion) while BasiliskII is running MacOS without having to shut-down BasiliskII. This is not an issue at all if BasiliskII is running in the "Window" mode (Graphics/Sound>Video Type). However, if I choose "Fullscreen" I seem to be not able to switch to the host OS by any means.
,
It would be perfect if BasiliskII could run as a "fullscreen application" on Lion, having its own Space. Or at least, to be able to suspend MacOS/Basilisk and switch back to the host OS MacOSX Lion. Is there a way to do either? I see there is no support for either idea now.
,
The other fix I thought of to this issue is to be able to change the BasiliskII application's window size independently from the "Resolution" settings on the (Graphics/Sound>Video Type>Window). Because if I choose any resolution settings on the Window mode, that resulted resolution will be different in the "Window" mode than in the "Fullscreen" mode although the resolutions values are the same. In "Fullscreen" mode the guest OS (MacOS) screen is resized (stretched in a constrained way). Basically what I want to do is to stretch the BasiliskII application window to fill the whole screen, while the resolution values of the guest OS (in Graphics/Sound>Video Type>Window) remains unaffected. This should result in the same resolution as if I set the same values but chose "Fullscreen" instead of "Window" mode.
,

I hope there is a way to do this!

Thanks

- In full-screen mode there is indeed no way to access the host OSX as long as BasiliskII is running.

- One can set the window to a size that fills the screen and thus create a "pseudo" full-screen mode. In window mode the window size and resolution will always match.

- In full-screen mode the screen size and resolution will match if the resolution is set to "Maximum" in the GUI (or "screen dga/0/0" in the prefs file). With any other resolution setting, the emulator's screen is stretched (or shrunk) to fit the host screen. If one uses a screen resolution that is both horizontally end vertically half the host screen size, the resulting image will look best. On my 1680x1050 iMac screen I can use 840x524 or 840x526 in BasiliskII (the values need to be an even number).

That is how it works, there are no other flavors. Sorry.
