Sirs:
I have a real need to run the venerable MS QuickBasic for Mac (v1.03e I think), for actual data processing. I have the SW, and it works (SLOWLY) on old (32bit "dirty") 68k Macs. It occasionally runs, at useful speeds, on classic PowerMacs up to MacOS 8.6, but it will inevitably cause a crash (sooner or later) on any machine where 32bit addressing cannot be turned off. This includes, unfortunately, Basilisk II emulating a Quadra 950 in Windows 7. Is there ANY way to solve this problem? The memory control panel in the emulator does offer the "32bit off" option, but it does not really work (goes back to "On" after restart). Would using a ROM from a 32bit "dirty" machine make sense ? (It should be obvious that I not a computer expert)
Any advice, including using a different emulator, would be appreciated.
Thanks
Can you block 32-bit addressing in Basilisk (Windows 7) ?

Re: Can you block 32-bit addressing in Basilisk (Windows 7)
As far as I can see, MinivMac does emulate a 68k machine that does not do 32-bit addressing.
(I have a OSX version running System 6.0.8 and 7.0.1.)
