Any ways to improve performance?

Post by kicker04 »

Hello there!

I'm trying to run Journeyman Project 2 Buried in Time under Basiliskll MacOS 7.5.3. It's working ok, but there is some stuttering in the sound here and there and some lags in movement. I also tried it under Sheepshaver but there sound is even worse.
Are there some measures I can try out to improve the performance? Seems like Basilisk is quite hungry, the ventilator has some work to do...

Thanks for advice!

It might not particularly helpful, but FYI you can legally purchase a version of the game that will happily run under Windows from http://www.gog.com/game/journeyman_project_2 . (It's even cheaper if you wait until the inevitable sale.)

Are you using the latest JIT-enabled version of Basilisk II? Are you running the game off an actual CD? Perhaps you can try enabling 68040 emulation in the configuration? Maybe install the MacOS 7.5.5 update?
