Hello,
I change my 2012 MBA sierra (1,8 Ghz, 4 Go Ram) for 2015 one (1,6 Ghz, 8 Go RAM). BII ran perfectly with 2012, but with the new mac it runs turtle slow (including mouse or trackpad movements) so that actually I can't use BII anymore. I have copied BII files from older mac to the new one. Is there any change to do in BIIGUI (© 1997-2006) ? I use BII to work with FoxPro .dbf .and .prg files.

Check your BII screen resolution; if it's non-standard sizes, it'll draw REALLY slowly on a Retina screen.

Did switching to say, 1024x768 fix your problem?

I just changed the cache size in control panel / memory and now the cursor moves speed is OK.

You're still going to be fighting with Retina. I had the same issues you do back in 2015 when I upgraded to a MBP -- the results of that are logged in these forums.

End result was that I switched to Mini vMac II for 68020 emulation, before isolating screen resolution as the cause. I set my screens to 1280x720 for video capture reasons, and that does not work in BII at millions of colors. 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1600x1200 all work just fine.

This will affect your tests in http://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewto ... f=6&t=9282 as well.

Using BII at the standard resolutions, it performed similar tasks MUCH faster on my 2015 MBP. Same goes for if I dropped to 256 colors. Seems to be a BII bug (or two).

I have just discover with a great astonishment the importance of the screen size. I have been working for years with a customized size of 1360x800, just for my own confort. Now I have just tested 1024x768 and max-max standard sizes. The 11 mn long yesterday test on 2015 MBA is now completed in 0:01:06 with 1024x768 and in 0:00:50 with max-max size ! I can’t believe it ! Greatest thanks for having suggested me to check screen size !!!
