Fusion on msdos : nothing

Post by daniel- »

Hello,

I've tried Fusion on an old PC (486) with mdsos 6.22.
All was ok : rom, config, etc.
But when I launch fusion, nothing. Blak screen then white screen.
My bootdisk is ok (7.53), its functiun on a real mac. Memory OK. All OK.
I've also tried to create other hard disk with Hpv explorer. Nothing again.

I'v' also seen that Hpv explorer can't read "fusion.hfx" (hard disk created by Fusion).
Have I forgotten something in my configuration ?

Have you ran setup.exe and configured fusion properly?

Run that, the it to boot from a MacOS install disk and create a blank disk to install it to, then in the setup programme, select Launch Emulator and see what happens.

Also, make sure that your rom is compatible and set up properly and not corrupt, and if you are using a CD rom to install from, make sure you have the MS-DOS cdrom drivers (can't remember what they're called)

Hope that helps
If you still can't get it to work, then just reply and we'll try and give you some more help.

You have to configure the graphics driver correctly in the setup.exe program otherwise you will get a black screen. A vesa driver should work.

The CD-ROM drivers you are looking for are MSCDEX. This loads in autoexec.bat, remember you will haver to load something like cdrom.sys in cofig.sys as well

My rom is ok. Its functiuns with Basilik and vMac.
My config is OK and I've no CD reader on my 486 PC.
The first screen when I launch Fusion is a black screen with "-" who blinks (like a prompt). Then white screen. Something.

I've tried on a pc with Win95 an another with Win XP. On XP with Dosbox, no possibility .
I've tried many "Fusion" downloaded on different sites. Idem.

Daniel.
