I've just set up the Kegs32 Apple IIgs emulator with GS/OS System 6.0.1, aqnd I was wondering if there was a way to change the desktop pattern, like in Mac OS. I hate the blue pattern set as default.

Maybe try one from here:

Look for "DeskImg10.SHK"

I can't get it to display correctly, it's just a mixed up colours. It needs a standard unpacked SHR screen image, whatever that is.

Is there any way to get rid of the 5.25 floppy disk icons on the desktop? There's two of them, and they're cluttering up my desktop.

No idea!

You've probably used the emulator as much as me. You should play about and tell us what you learn.

I'm really interested in trying the emulator out again sometime soon. I hope you'll help me out...

I've looked through the settings for the emulator, can't seem to find a way to disable those icons, but I guess I can live with them, still haven't found a way to successfully display a background image, either.

I setup this emulator months ago, but never really bothered with it for more than a couple of minutes until today, when I started seeking software for it. I came across http://www.whatisthe2gs.apple2.org.za/

I really would love to have more KEGS info in the forum and in the wiki. So please write about everything you try out. Post screenshots and whatever, too.

I haven't yet found much to write about in Kegs32, I'm still exploring. I can post some screenshots somewhere if you want, though.

I've only posted 8, if you want any more, I'd be happy to create and upload some more. Feel free to use these in any way.
