Does anyone want to share some screenshots of the various emulators running in operating systems other than Windows XP?

It would be really nice to have some of those in the wiki. Right now, all of the screenshots are from my Windows XP machine.

Anything, really.

Any of the emulators discussed here (SheepShaver, Basilisk II, Mini vMac, etc) running in any OS...

Oh, Mac OS 7.6.1 inside the Power Macintosh 6500 Restore CD runs smoothly without Apple Telecom (this thing hates me). The Host OS is Windows 7 Ultimate.

Wonderful! Thank you all very much!

That's a lot of SheepShaver pics. Does anyone want to share some Basilisk II, Mini vMac, SoftMac or Executor pics?

That is how the emulated machine shares files with the host machine in SheepShaver for OS X. Like the "My Computer" in SheepShaver for Windows.

Shapeshifter is a Mac-Emulator for AmigaOS. It's from the same Author al Basilisk and Sheepshaver.
Here a screenshot from running MacOS on the Amiga-Emulatir Winuae, this running on WindowsXP.

It can also be started colored, but only in Fullscreen, so is no screenshot of all running systems possible.

Greetings

Thanks for the screenshots, guys. I've updated the wiki pages with some of them.

Some more shots of Basillisk II and vMac on a variety of host systems would be very welcome...

Sorry... we've disabled uploads.

You could e-mail me the shot. Or upload it somewhere else and embed it in your post.

A screenshot of a Linux host system would be very welcome.

You beat me to it with an Amiga screenshot. That is a nice WinUAE desktop you have there :).

I have ShapeShifter installed on my A1200 but back when I installed it, had no way of getting the MacOS into the A1200, so I was limited to watching a floppy disk icon.

I believe I have used ShapeShifter briefly in WinUAE but I don't tend to use WinUAE if I don't have to now that my A1200 has a graphics card, a 68030 and lots of memory. This makes the A1200 much faster than WinUAE. I could try and get ShapeShifter set up properly on the A1200 now, but my Mediator and VooDoo card are always quite temperamental and don't work half the time.

I do still have BasilsikII set up in my BeOS 5 PE on my PC from years ago. I did test it just over a year ago, and it was all still working, so it should be now, but I havn't really used it since 2004 ish.

I also set vMac up on my PowerBook 1400 but it kept crashing.

I will sort the screenshots out later (promise) :).

Working System Software 7.5.2 running on SheepShaver using the Power Macintosh installation CD.

Image

I know, you need the System Enabler 701 to use System 7.5.2 on SheepShaver, but you must use Power Mac 7500 and 7600 ROM.

This CD image has been used in SheepShaver, here is the scan details:

7500/100 and 8500/120

Apple Macintosh CD

Clockwise: I can provide screenshots of Basilisk II and Mini vMac running within Ubuntu Linux if you want. If you want them emailed to you, please email me @ wildanimal1933 [at] gmail.com

*EDIT* Here are two images for starters, one for each emulator, email me if you want more:

Good thing we now have broadband connections. Imagine opening this topic on a dial-up connection with 28.8k modem.

Those are wonderful, I'll send an e-mail.

I used the earlier ShapeShifter screenshot to make a wiki entry for that program:

http://emaculation.com/doku.php/shapeshifter

It's just a "stub," but I'll try to type a bit more later.

The wiki has been expanded with lots of beautiful screenshots from a variety of host systems.

Still looking for interesting shots of some of the more obscure emulators:

SoftMac
Executor
FUSION
Worm
pce/mac plus
shapeshifter

etc., etc.
