No, really, it's been down since last Friday since the domain has expired. The entire site is defunct, which is odd because the only reason I see for the site's disappearance is Maedi not being interested in administering the site anymore.

Until the Mac Garden comes back up, I'm starting my own abandonware website... although I don't know when it will be up. You can also try this:

I'm sure that Maedi just forgot to renew the domain name. I can't imagine that he would shut it down in that fashion... without some sort of announcement.

Anyone got the Macintosh Garden IP address?

Considering the bleak future of domain names in general, it looks like a good practice to learn as many IP addresses as possible.

the old http://macintoshgarden.org/ has expired on Friday.

But, http://www.macintoshgarden.org/ was available until this morning (Sunday am). It's gone down like it normally does every few weeks. Here's hoping its back in a few hours.

According to one IP searching site I found, the address is 74.50.51.104. When going to that address, however, a site set-up for Drupal (the management software used for the Mac Garden) pops up.

Back up again.

Yep... Maedi just forgot to renew the domain. I feel a little stupid.

Macintosh Garden is down from time to time, but it always comes back. I trust it will come back again this time.
