"I started this quite some time ago, then ran into problems and let it rot for some months, but I now have a usable version.
FuseHFS is a MacFUSE filesystem that provides write support for HFS disks.
I haven't tried it with real media, but you can create HFS disk images, mount them, and copy things to/from them.
For Mini vMac/Basilisk/SheepShaver, you should make sure the disk image has no partition map, or else it won't be recognised."
It is based on hfsutils, which is what Lauri based his HFVExplorer on, back in the day.

This is very useful. I found that I couldn't get it to work under Lion, until I found a newer version of MacFuse called OSXFUSE, which you can find here:

It's still not totally stable, but there's a new release coming up. Meanwhile, we can now write to HFS disk images under Lion and Snow Leopard. Thanks again to ClockWise for finding this.

I only recently found this one:
http://ntfs-mounter.en.softonic.com/mac
Writes to my NTFS USB storage without problems in Snow Leopard and has a cool cat icon too
Dont know about Lion and will probably never do so.

I'm curious about this: is NTFS-writing useful for Sheepshaver, Basilisk, etc.? The ability to write to HFS disks means that you can write to a Sheepshaver/Basilisk disk image directly from OS X, without opening Sheepshaver or Basilisk. Is there any way to use the NTFS-writing ability in Mac emulation?
