"Not enough memory"after update to System 7.5.5

Post by Wejustwalked »

When I installed the new update it told me there is not enough memory and that I need to stop some extensions by using the shift method. I didn't install any extensions because when I do, I always get the a/rose trap error. I don't understand how there could not be enough memory...the volume has more than 130 MB..I checked right before restarting after getting the message. Can anyone help me out?

Not enough memory refers to RAM of course. How much RAM did you assign to Basilisk II?
A/ROSE is an extension useless in Basilisk II. In contrary A/ROSE likes to crash the emulator.
Best remove it from your setup.

If you want the details about "Apple Real-time Operating System Environment", Wikipedia has a page about it.
