I am trying to emulate MacOS 8.1. using Basilisk 2 so that I can run EV Nova. I have the 8.0. > 8.1. patch, the patched Basilisk 2 that can play Nova and Quicktime 4.5. but I need MacOS 8. I have borrowed a Mac OS 8.5. CD from a friend so I can use the ROMs etc.

Basically, I need help. I am a bit new to this and I was wondering if you could give me some advice on how to update Basilisk 2 so it is running 8.1. Will the 8.5. CD work or do I need a 8.0. CD? What procedures do I need to go through to get it to work?

To run OS 8.1 you need to own an 8.0 CD as well as owning a real 68K mac to get a 1 mb rom from. An 8.5 CD won't work.
