There have been a few posts here reporting black screens when starting Basilisk II under Windows. I've had the same experience with some of the many versions of Basilisk II out there, and have been able to solve some them by reducing the memory for the Basilisk II system to 128MB (using the preferences program). Maybe this will help others who have the same problem.
