Metasynth mainly. Its a program which converters pictures into control info for additive synthesis. But I also tried to view picture by simply clicking on them, with the same result - Sheepshaver either freezes or simply vanishes!

'Monitors and Sound' panel?

Yeh I did, but it seems that no sound is coming from Sheepshaver. Very strange, like i say the sound works fine in Basilisk. But I'll continue having a mooch, see if i can get it sorted.

No Sound?

Im back! So Iv managed to get Sheepshaver up and running, and my software installed and working. One problem - no sound. As an audio engineer this is a distinct problem, lol! Sound works fine in Basilisk. Also, the CD player works fine in Sheepshaver. But Im not getting any play back in my audio pro...

Iv tried with both 'JIT true' and 'JIT false'. It seems that they are both about as stable / instable as each other on my machine. The thing that seems to crash it instantly is when I try to play .wav's using the Quicktime extension. Iv turned all extensions off now, and have finger crossed!

It seems Im having the same troubles in both Sheepshaver and Basilisk with a variety of files. One thing, I have been unpacking them using Stuffit in Windows, and these are the files that arent being recognised. I reckon if I put the 'sit' and 'hqx' files into Sheepshaver and try expanding them ther...

JIT / Stability

Right, Im using Sheepshaver, OS 8.5, OS 8.6 ROM... on XP pro. The stability is pretty poor. Iv had numerous crashes just trying to navigate through the help menu! Now, dont think Im complaining cuz I REALLY am not, this is great! But if I could get it to run a little more consistently then that woul...

Emu Mac, Got it sorted mate, I was being a dick! The empty drive must have already been formatted. Just installed OS7.5.3 and it seems to work fine. One thing though, the display is a bit fucked. Some weird lines and that appear and it looks rather odd! Do you reckon this could be rectified by updat...

No mate, no joy.

Hmmm...

What do you reckon, should i just try to get this floppy working? I have access Win95 machine, maybe Gemulator will work on that. I reckon if I can boot from the floppy and have just the empty drive installed in 'disk' then it MIGHT work.

Thanks again for the help!

Yeh, I have the boot disk image and a 500mb empty drive in the installed drive box. Its starts up ok, but doesnt prompt me to format the empty drive.

I'll give that a try now, see if it helps.

Haha, right Im back (told ya!) So I can now boot from both "startdisk.hfv" and the network access image. But how then do i get it to recognise the empty drive I created for the installation of the full os? Apparently this automatically happens when booting from the floppy. Sorry to be harr...
