It's not possible without heavy modification of PearPC. I tried it many times. It's probably because PearPC emulates an Open Firmware machine, and Windows NT requires a PReP machine (as do AIX, OS/2 PPC and other early/IBM-only PowerPC operating systems). Macs don't run Windows NT for the exact same...

Hi, SheepShaver doesn't support USB devices, so I guess you might be out luck here. Best wishes, Cat_7 Not necessarily. If the host system is *NIX, the USB device will be recognized by the host OS, and a device file will be created for the adapter. The only thing that needs to be done is to check w...

Re: Linux

I've had good luck with Mandrake 10.1 It was more stable than win. MS relased Virtual PC for windows for free. This program lets you run ANY PC OS in emulation. It's fairly fast and you can state freeze an os. -- meaning you can essentially force it to hibernate and boot it in four or five seconds....

The list in 'disk' in the tutorial is in 'volumes' on your version. About the Mac Plus ROM, you can't read the floppy becase of a hardware incompatibility, that cannot be resolved by software, no matter what. The only way to get that file is to put the floppy in a real Mac with a SuperDrive (not the...

Try commenting out the cpu_pvr field. Although G4 emulation is stable, G3 is way more stable.

It appears you left the default configuration for the primary master IDE drive. Try setting pci_ide0_master_installed to 0 or pci_ide0_master_image to a real disk image.

First of all, you need Mac OS 8.1. Anything lower than that won't let you format a disk image larger than 2 GB. Second, your real (windows) hard drive has to be formatted with NTFS (FAT32 won't let you create files larger than 2 GB).

i am having that problem too could any1 help? Sure. The main advantage of the Windows XP ICS over the Windows 98 ICS is that it doesn't care what its IP address is. So in order for this to work, you simply need to temporarily unplug your computer from the network, enable ICS, change your computer's...

MacOS9 does not have any problems seeing and using a 10GB disk (image) in SheepShaver for MacOSX. The disk image is seen by MacOS as a disk, but for SheepShaver it is a file. If you are running Windows XP, you could type at the command line the following command:

Code: Select all

fsutil file createnew [image file] [size in megabytes * 1032192]
On Linux/*NIX:

Code: Select all

dd if=/dev/zero of=[image file] bs=1032192 count=[size in megabytes]
I hope it helps.

Why does the browsing go the same speed as it would on dial up, but the downloads and uploads go at your normal dsl speed? Because there is a slight delay in the communications between your computer and the remote server, and that delay is mostly not because of your connection, but rather because o...

If it's the LCD's native resolution, then no, it's not possible unless you use an external monitor.
