But if giving more processor cycles makes the Sound less choppy, isn't there a way to tell Windows to give PearPc as much as CPU cycles as it needs for a fluid sound output manually? I don't really know what a CPU cycle is. Does the amount of CPU cycles given to a programm relate to the CPU usage th...

Network in Linux error executing ifconfig
I'm having trouble setting up the network under Linux. I use Mandrake 10.1. I've read the "Networking under Linux How to" topic and did everything explained there: Except this: 1) Your kernel needs tunnelling support. On the 2.6 kernel, it's under Device Drivers>Networking Support>Universa...

That's right. The Volume does not change when you move the Volume bar on the top. What I encountered is that it's seems to be faster when the client OS is busy, loading somethning or so. When I did standart Window actions for exapmle maximizing minimizing or change the Focus from iTunes (used to pla...

Seems like you where completly right. I saw no reason why it shouldn't work too. However, what makes me wonder is this text on the esound site: On the windows machine you start: esd.exe -tcp -public (btw. don´ do this with a machine connected to the internet ;-) Now I'm afraid of executing esd.exe ...

So there is no way to tell the program that it's minimized? If there would be one someone could do a simple boolean variable bMinimized or something and assign it with True if the window is minimized and assign it with False if it's not. This way one'd only need to make a simple if around the redraw...

Is PearPc faster while it's minimized?
Since there is no need to draw graphics it should be faster or not?
If it's not like this, can't it be done?
This way ppl could minimize PearPc while long installation phases to install in a shorter time.
Sorry if my question is stupid. I don't know much about such things. I'm just wondering.

Does someone have a clue when there is native cd support being added to RemoteCVS?
Or if they ever will add it?

Some Questions about pearpc
Hi first of all u have a great forum here, it helped me a lot with pearpc  I've got pearpc working and installed OS X 10.3 but now I've got some questions: 1) Does raising the "redraw_interval_msec" value really sppeds up PearPc? I raised it a bit and can't see any difference. Is the...
