Re: Odd full screen behavior in version 2.5 (7 Feb '21)
With builds from the latest source, the additional opengl setting should not be needed anymore. I sent links to these builds in a PM for testing.

Re: Mouse: Reverse Y direction?
This manual was for BasiliskII 142 for Windows, released in 2001. Later BasiliskII versions have different features. I do not think reverse scrolling is available in current BasiliskII versions for Windows. It is certainly not available in BasiliskII for macOS that you apparently use, judging by you...

Re: Odd full screen behavior in version 2.5 (7 Feb '21)
I cannot test this on my Metal Mac. Is it already implemented in the builds I created yesterday?
Maybe someone (almeath?) can confirm this on a non-Metal Mac?
If it works, could it also be implemented such that it will automatically use this when the check for Metal device is negative?

Re: Claris Translator
Are you on a OSX/macOS host? Try creating a larger disk image with Disk Utility.
If you need more disk space, you can also create additional disks. You can use an additional disk as destination for the translation only.

Re: SheepShaver not respecting window size
Ah, yes, emendelson is right. I forgot that one. If the resolution in Monitors (or equivalent) control panel is set to one of the preset lower resolutions, the window will return to that size during startup.

Re: SheepShaver not respecting window size
- What is your MBP's screen resolution? - Do you set Maximum x Maximum with window or fullscreen? - After changing settings, do you save and shut down SheepShaver? - Do you have scale_nearest true scale_integer true set in the prefs file? As far as I know windowmodes and screenmodes in prefs do noth...

Re: Full screen scaling
Setting the resolution in the GUI to exactly half your screen resolution (1280 x 720) will get you in fullscreen mode scaling twice that will fill all of your screen.

Not really. It will get you 2560 x 1440 without scaling.emendelson wrote: ↑Wed Feb 24, 2021 12:46 pm Ronald's method 1 will let you get 800x600 without scaling.

You do mention your host processor but not the host OS, nor the SheepShaver build you are using (downloaded from here or compiled yourself).

Re: problems installing game-file not found
Always give detailed information about your setup. Otherwise it is impossible to give a proper answer. From your other posts I understand that you have SheepShaver running on a Mac with macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) and that you own games on "disks". I suppose that you mean CD-ROMs. From the S...

Re: Full screen scaling
Well, yes, but the question is not clear. @centris610 There are two possibilities available in BasiliskII: 1. In the GUI set Width x Height to Maximum x Maximum. That will provide fullscreen display without enlargement. 2. In the prefs file add the lines: scale_nearest true scale_integer true On a h...

I am not sure what you are asking for. Do you want to run BasiliskII not filling the screen, at the size of the window, but with large black borders around it?

If you happen to use the 31 January 2021 build: It freezes when launched full screen. Replace it with a more recent build.

Re: Option request - window title
Then it would be nice if the VMs name would be used for the window title, without the need to edit the prefs file. But I doubt that is possible. That would probably be the best possible solution, IMHO. Let the virtual disk's name determine the name of the SheepShaver window running the relevant ver...

Re: "CD is Write-Protected" Error
From the other tread I guess that you are probably trying to mount the "JumpStart 3rd Grade.iso" image. I am not sure how you try to mount the cd image in Mini vMac. The regular way to mount an image file would be to drag it into the running Mini vMac window or to choose "Open Disk Im...

Re: Sheepshaver crash booting fullscreen
You turned fullscreen on while playing Simcity 2000? Does that mean that you used control-return to switch from window mode to fullscreen mode? That should not change the setting to startup SheepShaver in window mode, so I see no connection with problems at startup. If you changed settings to start ...
