Re: Higher your monitor's resolution, tinier Basillisk's screen.

Yes, that is what I just now discovered also. In my 7.5.5 installation in BasiliskII there is a "Mac HiRes Std Gamma" gamma table selected in Monitors control panel. When I set it to "uncorrected table" (translated from Dutch) gammaramp does not work. In the 7.5.5 installations I have in SheepShaver...

Re: Higher your monitor's resolution, tinier Basillisk's screen.

I think it is better this way. But it does not work with some configurations in SheepShaver: It works for me in BasiliskII with System 7.5.5 installed and with System 7.0.1 installed. It works for me in SheepShaver with MacOS9 installed and MacOS 8.6 installed (with new world rom) It works for me in...

Re: Higher your monitor's resolution, tinier Basillisk's screen.

This is really only for very critical and advanced users. Maybe it does show more accurate display in the emulator, but it is very disturbing for the average user. If this should be implemented at all, it should be off by default. And then really off when it is off. Now it isn't. In my latest build,...

Re: Higher your monitor's resolution, tinier Basillisk's screen.

I do not think it is behaving now as it should. The control-return window/fullscreen toggle now works with each of the three gammaramp settings. But without adding a gammaramp item to the prefs file (gammaramp on by default), and with BasiliskII in front, everything on my screen appears bleached out...

Re: Higher your monitor's resolution, tinier Basillisk's screen.

I have implemented magnification feature in the window mode. Try my fork with appending following line to ~/.basilisk_ii_prefs or ~/.sheepshaver_prefs. mag_rate 2 https://github.com/kanjitalk755/macemu I tried a BasiliskII build from your fork. (Didn't have time earlier, sorry.) I made sure JIT was...

Manual: How to migrate COI/Chubby Bunny to a regular SheepShaver setup

The application Classic on Intel / Chubby Bunny was distributed under different names. In this manual I will mostly refer to it as "COI". Get your startup disk 1. First of all, you need to get the startup image from within COI: Download the "Classic-on-Intel-Extractor" script droplet that our member...

Re: Mini vMac Can't Find Rom File on Mac

I honestly do not know why it does not work for you. Everything seems OK in that folder. Here, on my Mac, it works fine, the rom file and disk1 are found and used when I start the app. And when there is no suitable disk, Mini vMac will still find the rom file, it will open with the grey screen and f...

Re: My Mac's intel isn't compatible with the sites new theme

Which OSX/macOS version are you running? And which Safari version?

phpBB 3.3 and this theme use advanced html and css. Maybe your browser is too old. You could try a recent Firefox version instead.

Re: Mini vMac Can't Find Rom File on Mac

I had even tried the other suggestion in that thread, moving the files to the folder inside the .app, but that got the same results. I do not know what you did exactly, but never make changes inside an application package unless you know what you are doing! If the rom file is in the same folder as ...

Re: Mini vMac Can't Find Rom File on Mac

If the rom file is named vMac.ROM and in the same folder as the Mini vMac application, Mini vMac should find it. Apparently it does, otherwise you would not be able to "open the image once the emulator starts". Mini vMac will not automatically find a (boot) image unless it is named disk1.dsk or disk...

Re: SheepShaver won't launch

Did you check in the Finder Info panel for the rom file that it does indeed not have a (hidden) extension? If so, you may be bitten by a security feature in macOS that does not allow to run an application from the location to where it was downloaded or from the location to where the downloaded zip a...

Re: Be warned macintoshgarden users...

When you did not yet bookmark the correct address, better search for Macintosh Garden (with a space) instead of entering an address. You will find the correct site. BTW: The Chrome browser is now very picky. It blocked also several of our older wiki pages because the images on those pages were histo...

Re: Does slirp work on Wi-Fi

Slirp networking should work. In the GUI enter "slirp" (without quotes) for Ethernet interface (or for Ethernet Port, depending on the GUI version) Set TCP/IP to Ethernet and DHCP server. It should get the addresses from the slirp networking as soon as you try IP network access (for instance with a ...

I suppose you mean SheepShaver 2.5, not SheepShaver 2.4.
Yes, you will need a different keycodes file with SheepShaver 2.5. You still use SheepShaver with COI, I will see how you could replace the keycodes file in COI.

Re: How to increase memory on SheepShaver

You apparently use SheepShaver on macOS. True? 1. Did you use a pre-installed OS9, like the one you can download from Redundant Robot? If so: That is not a full OS9 installation, only useful for test purposes. It is also too small to do additional installations. Best do a regular full OS installatio...
