Well it won't matter if your Athlon 64 won't supposrt that, OS X won't be able to run on non-mac systems, they will prevent this from happening Yes, but I am pretty sure that QEMU or some other PC emulator would implement something to allow that, and then it would run on native speeds, so I hope SS...

Why wouldn't it? After all, from the PearPC point of view, it's just a newer kernel version. Right. PearPC emulates the PowerPC/CISC processor on the x86/RISC, not the specific os, so it should run OS X.4 aka Tiger no sweat. How did the Duckie version of OS X.4pre fare? And why should it be a Warez...

I pretty sure it'll run, since Duckie got the 10.4pre release running just fine also.CaptainValor wrote:I'm sure a lot of people will be buying Tiger and trying it with PearPC. I'd be curious to see how well it runs (if at all). Who here has preordered it? 8)

Then there's SDL, which is supposed to use your graphics card. Isn't this much faster? The SDL builts I've downloaded contain an SDL.dll file. That's the SDL library, used by PearPC to draw the screen if you are using an SDL build. It is reputedly better than the Win32 build (which uses DirectX/Ope...

They are comparing the Altivec capabilities of CherryOS, which has Altivec to PearPC (non-Altivec). In a fair competition between CherryOS and PearPC Altivec, PearPC is about 3 times faster. So the Altivec builts are faster than normal PearPC. I understand that the Altivec simulate G4 instead of G3...

We're there dude! Using DCHP IP 192.168.0.22 Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Router 192.168.0.1 DNS Server 213.17.92.253 I'm typing this message through my emulated OS X right now! This is so cool. Only thing is I have to disable my ZoneAlarm Suite to make it work. Any workaround to this? I don't want to ...

For the OS X DNS Server entry, I would recommend putting 213.17.92.1 (the address of your Gateway, which I'm assuming is your router) or either of the two DNS Server IPs from the HW Network Status list. Router? Local Area Connection , as in my onboard LAN. If I r-click on it and select Network Conn...

CherryOS page The CherryOS test was taken from March 28th 2005 using CherryOS 1.2 and OS X 10.3. The results show that the CherryOS overall CPU score was a 5.44 ( roughly 11 times faster than PearPC ). In addition you will note that there is an Altivec Basic score of 6.38. CherryOS registers a scor...

I can't view that attachment without signing up to that board (and I'm on too many already!) - what I meant was, are you using ICS, ethernet bridging, or a proxy server? Oh, I'm sorry. Hmm, I'm quite baffled. I can't see any reason ZA-related or other wise, why ping requests would get through but not HTTP requests. What method do you use to connect the two networks (LAN to the Mac and WAN to the Internet) together? And is this a paid version or free version of ZA? I used the Tap-...

Hi Frank, If the network connection between the (OpenVPN) TAP-Win32 adapter and your Mac seems to be up, but you can't view Web pages, maybe you have a DNS failure. First you should check whether the connection is really alive. Sometimes you can have it showing as 'green' in System Preferences/Netw...

Re: Mac OS 10.3.8 Is Out
You can download the "delta" update here http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosxupdate1038.html and the combo update here http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosxupdate1038combo.html Should I upgrade? Can I upgrade from my current 10.3.4 version? How do I do this through PeaPC?...

Re: New PearPC Site & GUI Installer
http://pearpc.zaxgames.com I used the shareware tool Clickteam Instal Maker and put together a nice GUI Installer for PearPC in about 3 hours. It's the first foolproof option for installing PearPC. The steps to running OS X are now extremely easy. Dude, OS X is nearly workable on my 3500+ AMD64 now...

Is that a legal copy you're using dude?
Anyways, read the help section. It should help you out enough, I figure.
Or use a frontend like PearGUI, which is what I do.
Good luck!
