kelvin31415 and Cat_7,

You are my heroes!
The new build is working perfectly for me, I'm not even seeing a problem copying between windows and mac os.

Bill.

Hi again Guys, Is there a certain place in the source code I can look to find the cause of this bug?? To recap, the problem is only happening on the windows builds, basically when copying text and then pasting, SS is adding an invisible character that some programs have a hard time dealing with. For...

SheepShaver running AutoCAD R12. Mac OS 9.0.4 with FPU software emulation. I believe this was the last mac release developed. It runs stable but slow under SheepShaver and BasiliskII Jit (not build 142 though). http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s131/n-kal/screenshot.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/...

Thank you everyone for trying it out. So it seems to only effect windows builds. ClockWise, Are you testing the windows build? with OS 9.0.4? boyanml, Are you using the same setup when you tested the different builds? (just replacing the .exe and .sdl files?) I have not been able to get any windows ...

Any text file, or just create a new one in SimpleText. Sheepshaver is adding an extra invisible character to any pasted text.

Copy/paste Bug??

I have noticed this with the official and recent Windows SheepShaver builds. When coping/pasting text from most text programs, SheepShaver is adding an extra invisible character to the end of the pasted text. A quick example would be to open a text file with SimpleText. Copy a section of text and pa...

Hi Cat_7, I have tried many sdl versions, same thing. I put back to the one in your download. After some testing, I was able to finally boot by one of these two options: 1. Disable JIT. This works but emulation becomes too slow. 2. Set memory to 512 or above. It now boots up but cannot restart withi...

I have swapped the old sdl and exe files from my current install. Mac OS 9.0.4 starts to boot but as soon as the Mac background appears, right before the desktop icons appear, Sheepshaver just quits with no error message at all. I have tried starting without extensions, zap pram, 256 to millions of ...

On a side-note: I will try to compile a newer SheepShaver for Windows later today.
That sounds great!
Will you be implementing that losing mouse/keyboard bug fix?
Thanks.

Just put the hfv image in the Executor directory (typically c:\program files\Executor\) When you lunch Executor, click on File cabinet icon to access the hfv image.

Hello Stephen, Thanks for trying it out. I went over everything I did again. It works o.k. if working within executor, but not when working off an hvf disk image. I used hfvexplorer and created a 10mb image. I then put the image in the main Executor directory. When restarting Executor it now has acc...

There is a bug in SheepShaver that will cause SheepShaver to freeze when the cursor has been moved in and out of the SheepShaver window a certain number of times. The bug has not yet been resolved. I'd pay to see this fixed. Sheepshaver is just the way to go. Most 68k programs run fine on it. Most ...

If so compress to a sit file and then extract the sit file WITHIN executor.

I tried many programs to create ISO's on windows computers. I found PowerISO to be the best. No conversion or special settings involved. I can even burn the ISO of the OS9 disk back to cd and install normally on a real mac.

Execuutor- Date Modified not correct?

I have noticed when modifying a file in Executor, it those not update the file modification date. For example if you open a text file, make some changes, close the file, the modified date is not changed. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

Be forewarned that these versions are meant to be read-only and must stay that way. As long as they are not read-only whats-so-ever, Mac OS 8.5/9 strictly will not boot and give you this error:
I did not have to check read only. What program did you use to create the iso? I used PowerISO.
