Yes... mine is grayed out also. I don't know how to change it. I hope someone can offer a suggestion. I found (maybe) a solution. The problem occurs when the Windows clipboard is not empty. Deleting the content of windows clipboard (with Clipboard viewer for example) solved the problem, at least fo...

I'll host it on the site if you want. That's why I sent the file to you. If you think it's usefull, I don't mind. Some antivirus programs falsely report there is a virus in the archive, so maybe encrypting with password is a good idea. Let's get back to SheepShaverGUI 2 Gb limitation. Is it specifi...

Do you create your image with sheepsaver ? I don't remember exactly how, but as I don't use SheepShaverGUI recently I think I didn't. HFV Explorer has 2 Gb limitation too. Today I tried and successfully created an empty 3.99 Gb image - it's a simple hex file filled with zeros with size of 429495091...

With a size of 2048 and more -> a file is created but his size is 0 What is the type of the physical partition do you try to create a .hvf on? Is it FAT32? AFAIK there is a filesystem limitation (with FAT32) for creating a file more than 2 Gb. My disk images are created on NTFS partition, so I have...

And did you try with the most stable (AFAIK) SheepShaver version at http://gwenole.beauchesne.info/en/projects/sheepshaver

After prowling Google and choking on Polish, because I had this exact same error on Ubuntu 8.04, I found a solution to my problem, and I HOPE it will solve yours: sudo sysctl -w vm.mmap_min_addr=0 # protect bottom 64k of memory from mmap to prevent NULL-dereference # attacks against potential futur...

As for me, yes, there is an additional character at the end of the line, but only with the new build. The character code (as I see in UltraEdit in hex mode) is 00. In addition, I noticed transfering text via clipboard from SS (new build) to Windows is more problematic and uncomplete, compared to Gwe...

Re: Slow boot in XP
Copy-Paste seems to corrupt my files in XP :( Maybe it's a VMware issue. Did you compare both rom files (on internal and external HDs)? I mean comparing in hex mode (for example with Ultra Compare). Try to copy/paste from within SS. And try with prefs changing: "extdrives C" to "extd...
