Re: Qemu package and guide for OSX available
Got a few super dumb questions. What are the reasons that I can't run "-smp 4" with a Mac OS X 10.5.8 vm and only "-smp 2"? Also, why is the memory limit 2048mb and vgamem_mb seems to be 64MB? If I set the memory to anything higher, I get an error message that 2048mb is the limit and if I set vgamem ...

Setting up AppleTalk/LocalTalk?
So, I'm trying to connect Basilisk II to the Einstein Newton emulator . I'm running it on macOS 15.3.2. I have no idea where to start to get Basilisk II set up with AppleTalk/LocalTalk. I know that there is a specialized build of Basilisk II to connect to Einstein via a virtual Serial port and I ...

Re: Need some assistance with connection/file sharing issues
Your image has no connection when bridging to wireless when using the screamer build. It will connect over wireless with our "normal" build.
So my suggestion would be to drop the sound-enabled build.

Did a fresh install of 9.2.1 and still having the same weird connection issues in Mac OS 9. Confirmed that "en0" is the only thing listed under "Interfaces:" in the "Wi-Fi" section, under "Network". Do I need to be connected via Ethernet for this to work properly, or were you able to get around the ...

There is nothing wrong with the image or network settings. I receive an ip address etc. from my router and can connect to websites, run the hotline client and see servers.

So, I've got MacOS 9.2.2 set up in "Qemu-system-ppc-screamer-macOS-universal-05-01-2025". I want to set up a Hotline Server inside of Qemu. I'm kinda at a loss as to why MacOS 9.2.2 will not connect to the internet at all with the "vmnet-bridged" option. Here's my starting point with the commands to ...

Re: What's the recommended settings for Apple Silicon?
The tap instructions are not valid for current macOS versions, and I haven't tried the etherhelper in a long time.
However, if you are satisfied with AFP over TCP/IP the solution is not that difficult.
Add a line to sheepshaver prefs forwarding port 548 to the host:

Is there a windowed zoom mode?
I was wondering if there was a windowed zoom mode similar to the option in SheepShaver & Mini vMac? I know that there is the "zoom to fit" option for fullscreen mode. I'm currently using Qemu-5.2-OSX-Screamer-15-12-2020 due to still being on macOS 10.14.6. Thanks!

Hi,
It seems you are missing one "\"
./qemu-system-m68k-AUX-alpha \
If this slash is not there, the rest of the command line will not be read ;-)

Re: Having some graphical issues with Mini vMac 36.04
I'm not sure that it's a Retina issue. Both apps had the "High Resolution Capable" option set to "YES" in the Info.plist file. It's really weird. If I select "Open in Low Resolution" in 36.04, it's not a permanent fix. When I move around the window, the image fixes and it's pixel-perfect. Or, if I ...
