Kudos to you Cat_7 for another build! It's great that you're keeping the project alive. :) First time I ran it I had an audio CD in the drive which OS 9 successfully mounted and started playing but which immediately caused a C++ runtime error causing a crash. I booted without the CD and it seems fin...

Can't run Harrassment by Zerius without crashing
I can't get Harrassment by Zerius to work on Systems 7, 8 or 9 which is strange when MACrostrange by Haujobb runs fine on OS 9 (albeit very very slowly) and it should be much harder to emulate surely? What am I doing wrong? When I run it I get what must be the options screen appearing but all squash...

Quick tip to solve unexplained crashes and A/ROSE errors
Installing Mac OS (any version) I would personally say is more complicated than installing a version of Windows. This is because Windows installs in, what some would call, a bloat-ware fashion i.e. it installs everything even though you may not use half of it (yes there are options but they tend to ...

Suggest some exclusively Apple things I can do via emulation
Hi everyone, I'm very much into this emulation malarkey and am looking for suggestions as to things I can only do on Mac hardware. I've already found some exclusive games & apps but not many and there's also scene demos to enjoy but is there anything else I really should take a look at that I'm ...

Thanks for your reply Ron; could you advise me on how to do that please? Locality settings I've worked out How do I enter my name and password? (is it in the Groups control panel as I'd rather just adjust the default account) The other thing is how to change the computer name Obviously I'm not sure ...

OS 8 Setup Assistant hang
Hi. When I run the Setup Assistant for OS 8(.1) it hangs once I get to the bit where it looks for network devices. Why is this (as in what am I doing wrong) and how can I fix it? I have to end SheepShaver from Windows's Task Manager as I am unable to carry on. I am not using JIT as this causes the e...

I only saw the grey 'wallpaper' once and that might have been a fluke. I've tried booting both the floppy image as shown in the tutorial and the Network Access boot disc too, none of which work. SoftMac isn't much better (I've had poor experience with Gemulator so I had a feeling about what I was in...

Well on attempting to install the older version of libraries I get told that the newer versions are already on my computer which confirms that I was on the right track but doesn't answer my question as to whether BII supports them. Do I really need to uninstall these I currently have and use the old...

Crash on launch (Win32)
Hi, I'm having trouble with even getting Basilisk II to launch. I can run the front-end and I see BII's window but then the programme crashes and usually I can't launch it again for some reason and am forced to reboot. I the stderr.txt file I get the line "Caught SIGSEGV at address 00000009 [IP...
