what version of vista you running? I had that problem in my set up (64 bit version) and resolved the data error with the correct rom path with having the rom name in the end of the path.. eg:


rom C:\Program Files\SheepShaver\rom file\rom.ROM

Also make sure in the prefs the rom name is in the correct path, another boo boo i had before i use the gui (was doing it manually at first thur note pad). eg my config .. .. disk C:\Program Files\SheepShaver\hd\MacOS 9 retail + updates\Mac OS 9 Retail.toast disk C:\Program Files\SheepShaver\hd\os9 ...

reinstalled GTK runtime for 3rd time and worked.. reinstalled everything and worked.. os9 is up.. but slow for some reason, with jit on and off.. more slower with it off.. could be too many processes running in back ground.. killing them all 1 by 1 could help?
