Re: Can't save to Shared folder (nonexistent file path)

I thought I had done that; in fact there was already a copy of that file on the desktop when I went to SheepShaver this morning. But I must not have tried dragging the file over to the Unix icon, because when I did it this morning, it worked. Thanks for the suggestion. This workaround will take care...

Can't save to Shared folder (nonexistent file path)

I'm running the 2014 version of SheepShaver on El Capitan (10.11.6). I initially installed SheepShaver on a previous Mac running Lion, then used the Migration Assistant to bring over all the Apps, settings and documents to the new Mac ( a 27" iMac). Since then, I've been able run SheepShaver and acc...

What about the OS9 system you're trying to install? Any chance it is dedicated to a particular Mac, as opposed to generic, any model, version? I can't speak to the ROM version, because I needed the Old World version. The system I wanted was OS 7.5.3. You might try looking for a different source from...

I'm by no means an expert, but I'll throw in my two cents worth until the Pros step in. I don't know if this is what you meant, but I used the "Setting up SheepShaver for Mac OS X" guide here in Emaculation.com: http://emaculation.com/doku.php/sheepshaver_mac_os_x_setup There could be a problem with...

Thank you so much everyone. I was able to install OS 7.5.3 using SheepShaver and I was able to run the old program that I needed. It's great to be able to run these old programs on my current Mac and not have to go back to an old machine to do it. I also tried to install the BasiliskII emulation, bu...

I'm thinking this is a good place to submit this post. I've successfully installed SheepShaver running OS 7.5.3, on my Mac Pro running OSX Leopard. I've been investigating the printing function. I've been able to print by LaserWriter printer and 'save to file' a postscript (xx.ps) file, then opened ...

Thanks for the information. One other question, though. I have read that if you have the old OS on a CD, it needs to be a generic, and not a CD that came with a particular mac. Is there any way to tell which from the CD itself? I can't remember if I bought the System 7.5 disk (version 7.5.3) as an u...

Which emulator is best for Mac OS 7.5.3

I'm reading some conflicting information about which emulator will work best to run OS 7.5.3. I want to run it on an Intel Mac Pro, presently running Leopard, but soon to be on Snow Leopard. I need to be able to run an old program (TrueForm) that stopped fully functioning after OS 7.5.3. I'm present...

Basilisk II setup guide for OS X (offline)

I would like to set up the Basilisk emulation to run Mac OS 7.5.3 on my OSX 10.5.8 Intel Mac. For some reason, 7.5.3 was the last system that will run some old Trueform multi-page forms I need. Adobe abandoned the program a long time ago after it bought the company. I went to http://www.emaculation....
