Re: SheepShaver for Windows

I think the startup-sound was a very cool thing, and it's a pity it's not builtin.

Gotta say, I spent several hours with trying to compile SS, eventually succeeding with it, but result was that SS just quit when attempting to run it. GUI works with " --nogui false ", but that's all. I'm wondering if files main_unix.cpp (line 139) and video_x.cpp (line 50) got typo: #incl...

Using images does not require cdenable-extension, as the images does not have anything to do with the CD-ROM drive (in this context).

The type of content copied into the clipboard most likely affects to how it is, or if it is at all, copied between the clipboards. For example, does Mac OS 9's clipboard support rich text format? If it does not, then it makes all sense that such content does not get copied into 9's clipboard. Also, ...

I reformatted the "experience"-list, and added category for Ubuntu-based stuff, plus added new data. I'd appreciate if I'll get feedback how it looks, especially if there's something wrong or with bad expression, as I don't mean to insult those who work for the emulator. [Edit] I'll some d...

For a record, Settlers 2 runs better on SheepShaver (and 9.0.4) than on DOS-emulator (can't recall the name of the DOS-emu). 8) Cat_7, is it possible to disable Start-menu popping up when pressing Win-key, if SheepShaver is running? I know there's a way to disable Win-key thru Windows, but then it d...

I could say that this is one of those moments when I curse myself for not handling the "real"-coding (C and likes, I'm good only with PHP and scripting), as this would be a project where I'd be eager to hand my help, since a need for emulator that can run OS 7-9 is real for long time to co...

About copied CD, bootable-flag and few general hints

Greetings everyone! I once had original OS 9 Retail CD, which I once upon a time broke ( scratched the data-surface, go me! ). But luckily I had made a backup from it. Interesting part, which I re-discovered today, is that the copy is written without our beloved bootable-flag . I had to come to that...
