Re: SheepShaver for Linux 03-09-2010 available
Well, an update on progress. I got source from github again today and, with the sheepthreads fix kindly provided by Kernigh, I am able to compile and make install, and the behavior is a little different from how it was before.. But it's still apparently not working. Thing is, it offers no feed...

Re: SheepShaver for Linux 03-09-2010 available
I'm trying to make a move from horribly outdated Leopard to Debian on my G5 here, and would love to have Mac PPC emulation running. I found your problem. SheepShaver requires a horribly outdated Linux system! SheepShaver only uses Linux/sheepthreads.c with PowePC Linux systems. This file tries to a...

Re: SheepShaver for Linux 03-09-2010 available
The build isn't working for me. I have the latest source as of 9/7/2012 from git, but attempting to compile it in Debian sid PPC64 gives me: Linux/sheepthreads.c:53:27: error: field ‘__sem_lock’ has incomplete type Linux/sheepthreads.c:55:2: error: unknown type name ‘_pthread_descr’ Linux/sheepthrea...

Re: SheepShaver A-10 Cuba! crash
Which builds of SheepShaver did you try? And did you enable "Ignore Illegal Memory Accesses" in SheepShaver preferences (as you should). Yes, I usually have to use the Ignore Illegal Memory Access feature for the system to start up and run at all. As for builds, a number of them, includin...

SheepShaver A-10 Cuba! crash
Hi fellas, So, I'm trying various versions of SheepShaver on my G5 tower here with Leopard, and trying to run it with the Mac OS ROM Update 1.0 ROM file, windowed at 1024 X 768, I start up A-10 Cuba! in the thing only to have it locked up when the dialogue appears to register the program. The game r...

Re: PearPC for OSX available
Hey gents, I'm wondering if this thing could also be turned into a good PPC virtualiser to run on PowerPC Macs? It's just that SheepShaver is both unstable and incapable of running more modern software than Mac OS 9.0.4, and of course it lacks video acceleration and so on. What's sorely missing, and...

Lion
I can't get it to open in Lion either, and I wouldn't know how to set up the prefs by hand. Is there no working config app for Lion yet? I'd do it myself if I were a programmer..
