with today fast computers, sometimes SS is just running too fast, and this is a problem for some multimedia applications where for instance animations or cinematic sequences run too quickly...

is there a way to slow down the execution speed of the emulated code?

Yes, maybe this is some missing emulation of PPC opcodes; if this is the case, that indeed might ask a long time to fix... Maybe this is something else much simpler...
