I deleted one of the accounts that had the same name. Repaired all the permissions. Now Sheepshaver saved my preferences and I was able to install from a 8.5 disk. I'm up and running 8.5 on Sheepshaver and was able to run an old program Selection 2.0 which runs simulations of the Hardy-Weinberg law....
