Re: Sheepshaver and Big Sur

I changed Safari preferences so that it did not automatically unpack a zip file etc. Downloaded a new zip, moved it to my desktop and unzipped there, which gave me the app and still left the zip file. Dragged the manually unzipped app to my Sheepshaver folder and it all works perfectly I just wante...

I am using the latest 64-bit build of Sheepshaver (SheepShaver UB build for Mac OS X 06-11-2010), and I am having problems with it. Mainly, I cannot go into fullscreen mode. Sheepshaver will start running, but nothing will appear. I can only see what windows I have open on my Lion desktop. If I chan...

I am having the same problem. screen dga/0/0 no longer works. Basilisk also doesn't run properly in fullscreen if I enter screen dga/1280/800 either. The only way to display Basilisk is to run it with win/0/0 , but this of course runs it in a window, which is not what I want to do. Any thoughts? EDI...

Thank you for these instructions, Ronald. It helped out a lot. Now I'm running in full screen. I wasn't using Julialy 's prefs GUI, but the one posted by vasi at the start of this thread. It seems it does everything quite well and is a great alternative to the PPC GUI that will be made obsolete with...

I have been trouble getting fullscreen to work properly using this GUI. The old Rosetta GUI worked fine (I'm running the latest version of Basilisk for Mac OS X). The buttons are a bit askew in the 'graphics' settings area of this new GUI. When I set Basilisk to fullscreen, save and start, it resets...

Thank you, 24bit. Following your post, I went to my Basilisk folder and deselected 'Rosetta' from the program and Basilisk runs perfectly. However, as Ronald mentioned previously, the BasiliskIIGUI app is a PPC-native program and will not run without Rosetta. I am curious if any work is being done o...

Thanks for the response. Yes, it's the October 2009 build. Now that you mention the issue with BasiliskIIGUI, is that something that will need to be rebuilt for Intel? It's rather difficult to run Basilisk without the GUI. To be perfectly honest with you, it may have been the launch of this GUI that...

The Future of Basilisk and OS X 10.7 Lion (Death of Rosetta)

I recently purchased a new Mac (OS 10.6.7) and was installing all my favorite software for the first time. I first loaded SheepShaver, and it booted into OS 9 and everything was great. When I opened Basilisk II JIT (newest build), I was met with the message, 'you must install Rosetta'. Since I'm usi...
