i worked around it but ive got another question. after some time of the emulator running it seems to go unresponsive to any input. i know it hasnt crashed as the presentations screen saver still kicks after some time.

heard of this before ??

i also just came across something else. in My Computer in SS OS it only shows files larger than 2GB as 2GB ??

so how come the files in this zip

unpack and are all there on an actual G4 powermac with OS 9 while in sheepshaver they get trimmed. could you have a look at the zip and see if it happens for you too ??

actually it looks like it did work, just thought it didnt with a 5kb download
as for file name length limits im getting truncation at about 30 characters even with HFS extended partition...

i tried downloading the 6gb image here, but the link doesnt work. is there another ?

also just as a side note after some more testing i found that my 8.6 OS would crash the same way when i got to a certain depth in the presentation navigation, but luckily my 9.0.4 OS wouldnt so ill be using that though its slower.

the build of the gui im using just has a drop down with two options. i cant type in. the latest gui build i have i can type in but when i use it i get the problem ive been having where it crashes when i start my app.
