it's kind of interesting to note that a freeware init that allows one to stretch a window from all corners and sides has been available since system 7

personally I never installed it, but I do find it funny that this UI feature has resurfaced so many years later

Not relevant to Sheepshaver use, however, it's worth mentioning that a system booted into OS 9.2.2 does support command+tab for app switching. Another example of a host conflict is the command for disabling the menu bar in Hypercard, which is the same as the command for opening a spotlight search in...

Reviving old thread - I too am eager to find a way to get OMS working in Sheepshaver. I don't need to connect to the "outside world", just need OMS working internally, so applications that are reliant on it can start up... Anyone with success to report?? Thanks.... As far as I know Pro To...

you don't mean system updates do you? 9.2.2 is still the final update. do you just mean certain software updates?

Yes, with the capacity of external drives today, storing everything as disk images is one of the best options, as they can be mounted from any volume.

I think one warning is that you may see different 'invisible' files in the volume when you open it either in OS X or the OS on SS? (I know this happens with physical removable drives between OS X and OS 9 machines; this may or may not occur in this context) Anyway, it's as simple as ignoring them an...

Perhaps some kind of directory conflict or interference? Where are the volume images kept on the host? Where is the 'shared' folder on the host? I don't know if this is the problem but maybe the info could help.

Hi, I built a SheepShaver for OSX with his source. It runs, but I don't see a difference (yet?) between the current build and the new one. I think disabling the flight recorder means that some logging mechanism is stopped. Best, Cat_7 Were there any notes for this source? What were the goals/change...

There is a Japanese Hypercard stack (with English menus however) called Parara that allows rendering of simple animation - think of each Hypercard card as a page in a 'flickbook'. You can adjust speed, add transitions and there are a number of other options. It then exports the animation to .mov. In...

Sorry I realize now the extent of formatting the text. (All I meant was finding the scripts to use online, not copy-pasting directly into any kind of Apple II environment).

Currently I don't have any Apple II emulation setup, but I would be happy to test anything once I do.

For emptying the trash - have you tried holding the option key while selecting 'empty trash' from the contextual menu (accessed with ctrl+click on the trash icon)?

As for Safe Mode/turning extensions off... I was quite sure holding shift worked in SS.
